Now Available: Wassail
Enjoyed warm or cold, this winter warmer cider is full of spice, flavor and tradition. To 'wassail' or 'wassailing' comes from an English tradition meaning to 'drink to one's health' or 'be in good health'. It's also a celebration of the cider apple trees, hoping to scare away evil spirits to ensure a good harvest in the coming year.
Our Wassail cider celebrates just that, made with a blend of juicy culinary apples and tannic, flavorful Frequin Rouge. We then steep the cider with all the flavors of the season - including orange peel, lemon peel, cinnamon sticks, star anise, cardamom, freshly ground nutmeg, cloves and ginger root - before back sweetening with maple syrup for a warm, rich finish.
